Oooooooh...
« on: April 06, 2006, 03:40:22 PM »
So, for the only part of the new Amiga, the OS4.0, it's the Hyperion. No one ever heard nad the site is stunning. For the Aones, it's the Eyetech. ??? Where's the Amiga in the Amiga. I was just put two and two together.. To completely erase the misfortune by these two facts, and all the sold out Amiga fate:

Could it be that these two are subsidiaries of Amiga Inc.? Anyone knows more of this?

Not entirely sure what you're asking.  If you're wondering how the A1/OS4 combo is related to the "classic" Amigas of yesteryear, it's via the OS which is built on the same architecture and source code.

If you mean in a legal sense, then good question.  Amiga officially license OS4 (so it can use the Amiga name) and any hardware to run it (although they appear to have been curiously quiet on that matter recently).  They don't own Eyetech or Hyperion, and don't have any direct involvement whatsoever.
