is there one available?

is there a pcmcia cd rom drive available that will be compatible with the a1200. e-bay has many pcmcia drives (cd) but i am not familiar with any that will work?
any help you might give me would be appreciated.

AFAIK no, but you could get a squirrel SCSI adapter and slap a SCSI cdrom on it.

HI
the only 1 that i know of is the scsi squirrel device
that uses the pcmcia slot

 ( if there is any other device then someone will let you know )

The old zappo CD-ROM drive comes to mind. I have one of these but it's only double speed and rarely used. You could also possibly connect a SCSI CD-ROM to a squirrel SCSI possibly?

Another alternative is to get yourself a Subway USB interface (this plugs into the A1200's clock port and sits internally within the A1200's case) and get hold of a cheapo USB-based CD-ROM drive.

I was given an old Iomega ZipCD drive recently (it would have been binned otherwise!) and this seems to work fine on my A1200.
