More like AmigaKit world domination! But that's OK I guess!  :-)

@Floob: I agree with amije - surfing on the Amiga - it's OK, but a bit like using the Internet ten years ago in some ways!!! Unless you have a fast machine with graphics card, it can be very painful. Even then, the likes of AWeb unfortunately just can't compete with the likes of Firefox...

hmmm, ok so given that I wouldnt really need broadband to my Amiga, perhaps I'm better off going with a CF adapter for data transfer.

Would there really be much advantage getting the Amiga on my LAN?

The WHDLoad looks great if it can make most games run from my HD.

If you get Samba configured correctly you'd be able to share files and printers with a Windows PC.  It is a bear to set up though.

Personally, I'd go for the flash adapter.  Currently my MicroA1-c is connected to my PC via LAN and the only protocol I can use to transfer files is the FTP server under Linux. :(

Do you know if a PC floppy drive is happy to write to DD floppies - will the Amiga recognise a PC formatted diskette - or vice-versa?

Hmm, I'm sure I knew the answer to that 14 years ago....

Windows will complain if you try to format an HD floppy as DD. Windows can't write 880k Amiga disks, you have to use a PC formatted (720k) disk.

Amigas can read these disks if you have CrossDOS running (part of OS 3), check that you have the PC0 driver mounted.  If that is done then you will be able to read/write PC disks as you would normally.

run the pc0 driver, insert an empty floppy in amiga and format it as pc disk. you can use hd floppys too but cover the hole at the left with a piece of tape.
