Very nice reading, Piru. I had completely forgotten about the overlay signal that I kept monitoring aeons ago when repairing dead Amigas to see if they were running a little bit. Thank you!

Well Hyper

I kinda wish I knew my hardware that close. I mean it would help me a lot with all the programming that I want to do and my other little projects I have stashed away on breadboards and notebooks.

Thanks indeed, Piru.  Good stuff.  That was quite a considerable post.  Most enlightening.
Good good study, day day up!

Objection, Your Honour! The witness's statement was too long and littered with low-level jargon!

:-D

Anyway, what's the chance of BlizKick being able to help in the CD autobooting process? Could it be an unlikely saviour?

You've still got to boot from a floppy or HD to run BlizKick (or any other patch to boot from a CD)
There is MountCD on aminet, but it only works with atapi.device/IDEFix.

On schedule, and suing

Hah, I'm only teasing. I always read Piru's posts thoroughly, it's just between the beggining and end of this one I evolved into a different sub-species.

:-D

What about the Zorro Kickflash device, doesn't this pre-load data before anything tries to boot?
