Does anyone know how much it might cost to acquire a CDTV? With remote and external floppy...? Might add that I'm US based.

As usual the answer ia eBay. I got mine for around $70 if memory serves a few years ago. That was with a pile of CDs.

Its actually pretty useless in my opinion but it looks nice in my rack and lets me say Ive always got an amiga
running. I could just use it as a CD player but these things are old and I dont want to wear out the laser optics. So it sits, a curiosity with a fluorescent clock.

I got mine for free  :-D I had a friend who never used it so he said i could take it for £5. Never did give him the money. It had an external floppy n rollerball controller. Sadly no keyboard or cd tray.
I picked up 2 trays from a bootsale for 20p then I couldnt believe my look when I found a keyboard for 50p

Thanks for all the replys. The reason I was trying to get a sense of what one would go for, is because I have one for sale. And it works. lol.

I've thought of putting it on eBay, but I figured that I'd post it here first since this forums has very dedicated Amiga users.  :-D

@hurinking

Well, it's not that useless....

My A600 with 1MB chip, can play a lot of whdload games.

So I got some 2.30 extended roms to put in mine and kick 2 or 3. (whdload requires >kick 2). I'm planning on making a cdtv cd with some games and a simple game selector to launch them (already made the latter, and use it on the A600 without loading wb which takes precious chip ram).

And assuming that you can get a mini mega chip and an elbox fast ram expansion, then pretty much all the games will run perfectly.
Anyway is the only way
