E-UAE keyboard control inputs
« on: December 20, 2005, 12:12:31 PM »
Hi,

I've recently gotten E-UAE as a bundle from here - http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22964

I've got it working with sdl lib very nicely (full screen is great), but the keyboard inputs aren't much good for me. kbd2 using cursor keys and right control would be fine except right control does nothing. Otherwise I'm left with the numpad or bizarre T,F,H,B options. Both of which detract from gameplay as I find the inverted T method (eg W,A,S,D) far more intuitive.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to remap the keys? Or other work arounds/solutions?

Thanks,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, and in a FAQ somewhere but how do you install SDL lib?

http://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php

Get the file called SDL-1.2.9.dmg. It has an installer and after that things ran smoother for me.

I'd say there is far too little documentaion on it all. But it is a very small project as far as I can tell. I found a number of interesting posts about it on freelists.org if you can google it out.

While I'm on, I recently found I have a lot of trouble getting multi disk games to work. It simply continues to ask for the disk and e-uae won't let me change the disk in the drive. So if anyone knows why this may be I'd appreciate any help.
