Amiga 1000 With Phoenix Board Boot Up Problems
« on: December 31, 2005, 12:02:33 AM »
Hello All and a Merry Chistmas and Happy New Year,

I have problem with an Amiga 1000 with Phoenix motherboard
booting up.The disk drive does not spin up or clicks but the Amiga boot up colors
shows it goes from grey to white and thats it.
It does nothing after that.It has both 1.3 and 2.0 roms installed even if I switch between roms they both show white screens and does not go beyond boot up screen.
I know the Phoenix board is rare but if anyone has any ideas please tell me.
Thanks in advance Merv :getmad:

Could be one of the CIA's is making poor contact with the socket.

firmly push ontop every socketed chip on the motherboard, if that fails.. swap over the cia chips and see if you get any further into the boot process

yes, cia chips are interchangable from their sockets :-)
Completely useless? I can always be used as a bad example
