Anyone with SAS/C 6.1 or above, or MANX Aztec C 5.2 or above???

I recently happened upon GNUplot v4 release notes on sourceforge, stating that an amigaOS release would become available on aminet.
Well, it hasn't, we're still stuck on Multiplot 3.5 (good, but GNUplotv4 looks fantastic - 3d plots, drool....)

Anyway, the source is available, but only has makefiles, etc for either SAS/C v6.1 or above, or Manx Aztec C 5.2 beta or above.

Not having either, and having a real need of a serious maths program on my amiga, I could really use someone's compiling time here.

If anyone has either of these, please PLEASE compile, and submit the binaries on Aminet.

Alternatively if anyone has either of these packages going spare...?

  Hmmm... thanks for the info.  I have SAS/C 6.5 and could probably use a good math program like that too.  I'll have to look into it after Christmas (little too busy to do anything like that right now).

  Do you have a copy of MapleV for the Amiga?  Having TurboCalc share information with MapleV via the ARexx port provides AMAZING possibilities.  :-)  Excellent program, I wish it was still being developed for our platform (ditto for TurboCalc).

I used it several years ago on several different Amigas.  It might work for you.  I can look around my garage for SAS/Lattice C, but I won't be back home until just before Christmas.

Thanks folks, I'll have a look into MapleV - haven't got it, never seen it, but will have to look into it :-) .
Will have a look at PLplot aswell.

Multiplot has done well for me in the past, but I need something more versatile, and plotting function surfaces of more 2 variables would be a great help.

Will also keep an eye open for SAS/C.

   MapleV is probably the most powerful mathematical program for the Amiga.  It was the definitive Mathematical application used by many universities for many years.  (Today I think Mathematica has won the favor).  You can go to MapleSoft to check out the latest version available for PCs but they don't support Amiga anymore (for quite some while).  The latest Amiga version is quite old, has no real GUI (other than menu items), and is probably near impossible to find a copy of.  However it can do everything from complex calculus to 3D animated graphs.  And the Amiga version has an ARexx port which GREATLY adds to the power.  :-D
