Ethernet - xsurf
« on: December 02, 2005, 09:22:29 PM »
Looking at getting an ethernet card for Amiga 3000d to connect to winxp machines through a linksys router.  What's my easiest and most cost effective way?

X-surf, II, III?

One or all the xsurfs have ide cable hookups supposedly.  That seems nice.

What software/libs will I need for this?

Thank you.

For all practical and cost-related purposes, the 3 versions of the X-Surf are identical.

They should come with drivers, if not, see http://www.ami.ga
You'll also need a TCP stack like MiamiDX, or AmiTCP/Genesis

EDIT: Note that you can't boot from drives connected to the IDE ports.
