Where to get AmigaOS??

I like playing whit different kind of os. I tryed a lot of Linux, BSD and BeOS. But didn't tyied Amiga OS yet. Except the Workbench that was delivered bij my Amiga 500.

Where can i get or download some versions? like 3.1, 3.5 and 3.9. Maby 4.0. And older systems 1 or 2? It's just for fun, to install play al little and that's it. I don't won't to spend a lot of money at it.

They say you need a PPC for 4.0. Does 4.0 than run on my PowerMac?

you cannot legaly just download amiga os most amiga stores can supply you with amiga os as well as ebay can. To buy amiga os 3.5 or 3.1 is real cheap.

As for Os 4.0 you can only currently use the os on A1 motherboards and the os is only shipped with those boards

On ebay germany 3.5 for € 5,50 and 3.9 is now at € 12.

And if you have a faster PC don't forget Amiga Forever 2005. You will get the roms and os legally and a preinstalled version of the os, plus some amiga videos if you buy the premium edition.

Buy the Amiga forever package from here: http://www.amigaforever.com/
This includes a legal version of OS 3.1 and some extra software and stuff which can be run on a pc using the included emulator.

You can also use os3.9 under this emulator, but then you would have to buy that seperate. OS4 will only run on the new amigaone ppc hardware.

I have Amigaforever on my AMD Athelon 3000+ but there's noting like running a real Amiga.
