Routers with built in SSH server?

Do these exist? Ofcourse I could use a linux based x86 router, but that's not what I want. Any ideas folks?

they build extremly good routers with all features you can think of, BUT they are more expensive than most others. i own one of them and i´m more than happy with it :-D

Hmm, I've had a look over their website and poked thru some of the PDF manuals but I couldn't find any mention of SSH. Could you point me to a specific location on that website?

The Catalyst 6000, 5000, and 4000 have SSH support. They are VERY expensive. 1000€ mini.

Also n many old Cisco routers, you have acces to an embedded unix-like environment, on the minimum it's BusyBox-like, and that allows you for installation and use of SSH. Mind you, this IS tricky. The C 7400 is the most dumb and un-intuitive machine I ever programmed.

Can i ask, why not the simple and cheap ATX-based linux box w/ a couple of NICs ? It allows you to fully configurate your services, but also comes pre-installed ! I mean a vanilla RedHat *is* a router, and a good one.

1000EUR? Eek, oh well....was just a thought. An unrealistic one I see now :-). As for why no PC, well firehazard for one, noise and power usage. Guess no SSH server then =).
