How much for a A530
« on: November 15, 2005, 07:31:12 PM »
I know some of them were on ebay a while ago, but can't find them now and don't remember what they went for...

So, the question is; what is a fair price for a GVP A530 Accelerator/SCSI Controller. It comes without FPU but with 4MB GVP RAM and a 500MB SCSI hard drive....

And I shouldn't forget to mention: it is really really clean, no discoloration at all!

Just recently, there was an auction on German ebay for a GVP A530 with 8MB RAM.
It went for 181 EUR!

Quite incredible, but just a matter of supply and demand. Accelerators for the A500 have become quite rare these days...

The GVP A530 is a very popular addition for any A500 and they usually sell for a very decent price.  If you are going to offer it on eBay, take the time to add good pics, and write a long description telling everyone how clean, tested and guarantee it against being DOA (dead on arrival).  If you have a manual and the install disks, that will help the price go up too.  I have one that I plan on keeping for the one A500 I plan on keeping in my collection, the other has a SupraDrive and it will either be sold/auctioned or given away to a friend.

If you are afraid of it going too low on eBay, use the "Reserve Price" option to get at least the minimum you want (but then it may not sell at all).

Good Luck  :-)
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Thanx, the reason I was asking though is I might buy one, not sell one :) So the price I am paying is fair enough (for me that is)  :-D

I will probably keep it for my (ever) growing Amiga Collection...
