Hi
I have been fortunate to get hold of a working 3000T with quite a decent spec. I thoroughly checked the machine before bringing home so I know it all works. Anyway, I connected to a standard PC monitor with no image. I then stuck it through a 1084 on the video slot and just got the grey screen. Next up I booted from a floppy and that worked fine. Also checked with the two mice down and all the drives and the cards are seen.
I was puzzled. I thought it had to be a display problem. Anyway I hooked it up to a big 20" Philips PC monitor I have and it booted to the display just fine, then lost the signal after about 2 seconds. Just enough time for me to click on an icon. It does this every time. So the machine is booting just fine. And the Cyberstorm memory
is identified on a Workbench disk boot, though nothing works in Prefs from the Workbench drawer. OS3.5.
The spec on the machine is as follows...
A3000T Rev 11 buster. Cybervision 64 graphics card.
Cyberstorm II 68060 and 128Mb of ram on board.
Serial and parallel board, ethernet. Toshiba cdrom and
ricoh cd burner. Two scsi hard drives and two floppy
drives one of which is 2Mb.
Well there you go. Hopefully not a difficult one to solve. I have pushed all the cards in and that has made no difference. Next up would be to push it through the Microvitec.
