It is used to install a large number of patches into the Kickstart RAM shadow on Blizzard accerators.  I think it should not be used with WB 3.5 or better because SetPatch does the work that BlizKick used to.

Depending on the modules and patches you enable, it can boost the who system. The documentation is extensive (albeit a bit too technical, I must admit), I suggest you read into it. Usage/Examples section should be useful.

BlizKick.lha (readme).

@SamuraiCrow

BlizKick is useful with AmigaOS 3.5 and 3.9 aswell. AmigaOS 3.5 or 3.9 SetPatch does not replace BlizKick.

Not really.  It's actually better to use BlizKick to apply patches from OS3.5+ instead of SetPatch because you can save a reboot at cold start.

To answer the original question.  Yes, it will speed things up due to Kickstart being re-located in 32bit Fast RAM.  But, probably no faster than other ROM mappers.  Edit:  Piru already answered while I was (slowly) typing).
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

If you're using OS3.5 or 3.9, just change the Setpatch line in the startup-sequence to be "SetPatch SKIPROMUPATES", and change the BlizKick line to include the parts from the OSROMUpdate file.

It's still worth using, as the whole Kickstart ROM is effectively in fast memory, not just the updated parts from the OSROMUpdate file, so the system gets a bit of a speed boost...plus there are some patches that Blizkick can do that SetPatch doesnt, such as NoIDE,Cardpatch etc.
On schedule, and suing
