Wierd sound problem
« on: October 07, 2005, 07:52:29 AM »
My A1200 is connected to a 1084S using the standard RGB cable for video and a set of phono leads for sound .

With the phonos plugged in L+R on both ends 80% of the time the sound is coming from 1 speaker with half the sounds missing (as it does) .

Its not the leads (i tried others) , niether the monitor (i tried another too)

When i unplug one plug of the phono leads (not sure which one) from the amiga`s side , the sound works perfectly (no missing music or sounds) but obviosly from 1 speaker only .

Could it be my amiga has something wrong ?

Sounds like one of the jacks is faulty (either that or a dried up capacitor), perhaps a cracked solder joint on the socket or something.
