because of the fact, that warpos doesn't always restore xer register between task switch, multitasking in warpos sometimes produces bad results. especially to the gcc3+ which uses xer in add/del instructions (dunno if in <3 because i only used3.4 for warpos:-D).

PowerUP doesn´t offer the same possibilities as WarpOS does. To get stable usage with WarpOS and Warp3D make sure your env settings are setup correcly, and that you have the recent libraries.

Sounds more to me that you should consider more or better cooling to your PPC CPU and graphics chip, as heat most of the times are the main problem.

-EDIT-

And no, you can´t use WarpUP programs with PowerUP, but you can the other way around.

Run only one WarpUp program at a time and you shouldnt get problems.

You can partially avoid it - by running just one task.
For example: i had a problem with freezing system, while playing wipeout - and in the meantime i had a cpu usage monitor on wb. So there were 2 task running. When i stopped cpu monitor, and the only really running task was wipeout,
i didn't noticed any problems:-D.
This isn't a full solution, because there is no, warpos has major bugs  :-(

@LuisTHE

I am not understand what do you mean about 'stable work under WarpOs Warp3d'. I am always use WaprOS and Warp3D. All my datatypes are WarpOS (i mean mostly, warpdt, gifdt,etc). And my system work pretty stable. What kind of bugs/unstable do you have for you ?

btw, for example, i can get this: run dopus, click on divx avi, dopus run frogger.wos in async mode, video start played. I click on jpg pict, and dopus run PicShow over warpos datatypes (warpdt), i scroll some picts and exit. Frogger still work. Close all, and run Warp3d little game AlyBox, have some fun :)

So, i {bleep}edup some time for this kind of work. Here is a lot of features what must be avoid, for example is you set env:powerpc/EarlyTerm to 0 - you will have a bugs. If you will run programms with VERY big stack - you will have a bugs.

btw. better solution is just no use PUP programms (give me plz some usefull only PUP toolz?). But if you want to use PUP under WOS you can use emulation, or just remove bppcfix/warp-os loader from startup, watch a pup tool, and get back to WOS.
