Scandoubler/FF eyetech?
« on: October 03, 2005, 04:21:29 PM »

I tried to order a ToastScan from softhut and received an email stating that they were no longer in stock and that something might be available next month. Sounds familiar, heard the same thing last month.

I just ordered an internal FF/SD from eyetech and was wondering if an additional vga port is included or if it uses the existing 23pin rgb port. Also, does it work correctly in AGA modes?

Has anyone here ordered one from the USA? What was the cost of shipping? I'm still waiting on the total from eyetech.

Thanks

I've got one of them.  The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the instructions are naff.

It comes with it's own socket for the monitor, so you'll need somewhere to fix it to the back of the A1200 (not a big problem if it's towered).

I've never had a problem with it using it on it's own.  It played all my games happily without a glitch.  The same with workbench - I was running that up to 640*512 very happily.

I don't know about running it at a higher res than that - my monitor couldn't handle any more :-)

Oh yes.  Perfect :-)

There's absolutely no flickering or botched graphics anywhere.
