Magic64 Speed
« on: September 25, 2005, 11:04:11 PM »
I've got Magic64 running on my a1200/040@40 with AGA.
I can play Last Ninja 2 at roughly 90% of the original speed.

Is there a way to optimize the performance just that little bit?

Would it be useful to run it in RTG instead of AGA?

I think that using rtg would speed the things up a bit.

90% is pretty good for 040 with AGA. Gfx card could spare some cycles from slow AGA handling but still there isnt much to do. MagiC64 already cuts corners to speedup C64 emulation.

Yeah 90% is great!  You can always have 2-3 frame skipping to get 100%.  I know on a 060 and RTG I can get 100% with 0 frame skip,  and with 100% sound.  It rocks!
