Sorry..It's a PC question....

Apologies for posting this on this board, but as someone said before, you guys are just so knowledgable and helpful :)

I got a second-hand dell latitude laptop at the weekend, and it came with a PCMCIA modem. Trouble is, how do I find a driver for it? The card is 'generic', in other words, no make.

Thanks

Does Windows come with a generic PCMCIA modem driver? Its worth a look.

If not, does the device have an FCC-ID on it? You can usually use that to discover the manufacturer of the device and get hold of a driver from them.
Cheers,

I take it windows is saying it is Generic.

Remove the Card from the laptop and post back here with what is says on in.

Sure one of us will be able to point you to a URL with the driver you need.

Thanks guys. Hell, I must have been a bit lazy. I typed the P/N (part no) on the card into Google and voila, a driver appeared as the first link.

P.S. hey Revener, I don't suppose you listen to Death Metal by any chance?
