Compact Flash Card to A2000 Parallel Port
« on: March 14, 2003, 09:51:27 AM »
I looked on Google and found a Compact Flash Card reader by RCA called the Lyra which connects to a parallel port.

Location url:

I was wondering, can an A2000 (OS 1.3.3) work with this?

AmigaOne! Access to all the modern conveniences.

So I guess that A500, 600, 1000, 2000, CDTV, CD32, are pure garbage then? Thanks for posting here.

No. The Amiga parallel port has some different pins to modern PC parallel ports, so without some custom hardware (presumably the same hack that gets the Parallel port webcams working), and some custom software, it won't work.
