This usually happens if the newer version does not recognize the preferences of the previously installed one or if the new version is not 100% compatible with the one you were using. If you're using no split mode and after installing the new version you're running on split mode or viceversa, your partitions will vanish, just change the prefs, if this does not fix your problem contact elbox... I had a problem like this, the version they sent me FORCED the split mode however I've always used no split mode, I complained and they sent me an 'unreleased" version fixing this BUG.
