Imagine Woes
« on: March 10, 2003, 06:09:50 PM »
OK. I've started to play around with Imagine again. ISTR, that when you create 'States', among all the physical change stuff was to ability to Morph from one texture to another, ie the 'Default' state may be say the Agate texture and the 'second' state is say the Monster Skin texture (hey, I'm trying to be unsubtle here!).
Anyhoo, it's probable a no-brainer, but I've read through the (rather poor) manual for IM3.0 and the update docs to no avail.
Can some kind soul put me in the right direction?

Regards

:-? That sounds about right.  Which version are you using, and what are you trying to do?  I haven't played around with textures too much, but I'll try to help out.

I've got Version 4.
Basically, I've just decided to get back into it again (see my post on Amiga Forever) and was working from (a faded!!!) memory on stuff I used to do.
OK, a simple project - A flying logo. So, I've created a font object, a path and the lighting. So far, so easy. However, what I want to be able to do, is to fade the textures along the length of the animation.ie start with say the Agate texture and end with say the Monster skin (don't worry, my real project won't me anything a bad as that). The States menu is very powerful and for shapes is a piece of pie. But for Textures seems a bit confusing.
Anyway I think I may have this sorted out, but after a 16 hour session yesterday, my brain was hurting and I'll have to re-check what I did.
Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers
