IDE zip drive needs boost
« on: April 26, 2005, 10:48:49 PM »
Got me an internal ide zipdrive which workes nicely with idefix.
Swaps are being recognized correctly but transferrates are really low!!(reading about 300Kb/s)
Installed me a buddha controller for the clockport and hooked my zip drive to that.
Same transfers here as on original internal ide controller of A4000D.
Also I am not able to get the drive to work with an ...atapi.device only the trackdisk.device.
Reformatted several disks, reinstalled them with hdtoolbox.
Think both buddha and idefix trying to mount it as floppy instead of hd.(for recognizing diskswaps?)
Anybody got a clue how to get these rates up?
