Hey All, thought maybe you could help me with this problem. I got an A2000HD a couple of weeks ago, and managed to get it working quite well. I came across a cheap SCSI 4x CD-Rom at a market, and picked it up to add to the system. I connected it to the internal connector on the A2091 - 150mb Quantum HD on SCSI ID 0, SCSI CD on SCSI ID 3. Nothing else is connected, and the cable is terminated at the end (8 connector cable). The system is running WB 2.1 KS 2.05. No 'bad' software is running that I can see. I threw the CD-Rom in, it powered up, ran OK, ejected, tried to read, etc. I installed AmiCDFS 2.4, and eventually got it working. When I inserted an Audio CD, it came up with the right icon and would play when prompted. The drive also ejected when told to by the software. However, whenever I tried to insert a disc I had burnt (Data, burnt audio disks were ok), the SCSI (HD Light) Activity light would come on and the system would hang. Nothing happened, even when I left it for a few minutes. So, I uninstalled AmiCDFS and tried AsimCDFS 3.9 and the same occurs. So, CDDA (audio) disks are fine, including burnt ones, but any other disk (Have not tried any real Amiga disks, can't find the couple I have for my A570) end up hanging the system. That includes a Mac disk as well. So, basically I'm at my wits end :-o . The drive identifies itself as a 'Matshita' (I'm assuming it's a Matsushita?) Anyway, any suggestions as to what it could be? The scsi cable? The drive itself? The disks? Should I try burning something from WinUAE? (I have tried conforming strictly to ISO9660 8+3 format as well) Or is it the software. Anyway, thanks in advance. :-)
