Mirage3000 dead PSU

I've been banging my head against the wall with this one...

I've already written Elbox support to see if I can glean some information from them, but I figured I'd try here too.

I've got a replacement 400w ATX PSU. The motherboard connector is 20 pins, my A3000's motherboard connector is 15 pin. Wire colors apparently mean NOTHING to some people as there's colors all over the place on both the Codegen model 300X1 300W PSU that shipped with the Mirage 3000 tower and this APower 400W PSU I'm looking to convert. Oh yeah, then CBM's lovely non-standard color scheme also comes into play.

What I'm after is a top-down view (as if the A3000 motherboard connector were plugged in) wire color diagram/voltage chart. A similar one for this silly 400W ATX would be nice also, as well as one for the Codegen 300X1 (I've searched a bunch of pages, and found nothing). Or some nice HTML w/pictures detailing converting such a beast for use with an Amiga 3000.

My goal is to get my A3k tower working again, with a fatter PSU. Any assistance you, the community, can supply would be greatly appreciated.

In digging about, I found a very nice table with pin#, name, wire color (image & text), and a description of what it does for the 400W ATX 20-pin motherboard connector at the following URL:

  All: The problem I'm running into is that it APPEARS that the Codegen 300X1 Elbox uses as the PSU has a grey wire (and since the PSU's dead, I can't check it) that MIGHT be a +5vdc line on the 13th pin of the motherboard connector, which MIGHT be providing the TICK signal (again, without the ability to check if the signal's oscillating, I can't be sure).

  Mirage towers don't come with installation information, they assume if you're ordering the tower, you know what you're doing. The online "quick install" instructions for the Mediator 3000D and the pictures supplied for instructional purposes regarding the Mirage 3000 nowhere indicate the need to switch J350 on the A3k's motherboard to VSYNC instead of TICK, leading one to the assumption that TICK is being provided by the PSU.

  So the long and the short of it: IS or IS NOT the TICK signal being provided by the PSU installed & shipped with the Elbox Mirage 3000 towers?

  On a side note, Elbox has replied to me, but I think my initial email was a little vague, so I've submitted another query. Just waiting on that response now.

Don't know, you should have a look on your motherboard, there is a jumper (J350) that is used to select the Tick clock source. In one position (pins 1 and 2 shorted) it uses the Tick signal generated by the power supply, in the other setting (pins 2 and 3 shorted) it uses the VBlank signal as Tick source.
It is save to use VBlank instead of the Tick signal as long as you don't want to use video hardware like a Genlock, as these devices need a Tick signal independent of the VBalnk signal.
