Will this work in Amiga 1200?

I`m not 100% sure, But pretty sure that that drive will not physically fit into the 1200`s casing without some modding of the case, As that drive looks to be taller/thicker than the slim drive that is in the 1200.

But i could be wrong.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I have a Power Tower and it'd go intoa 3.5" drive bay the same size as a PC 3.5" drive.

Then yes it will work in ALL Amiga computers.

Seeing this is a normal A2000 drive be sure to look if the drive is jumpered as df0: or df1:. If the drive appears to be dud check to see if the jumper D0 is set instead of D1.

Should work flawless with a 1200. If yours is a late Amiga Technologies model you will need to hack it a little.

Also, if putting it in a Power Tower it will take up 2 3.5" bays, these drives are 1.6" high instead of 1" of most PC floppy drives.

This drive is slightly larger than the normal A1200/A600 floppy drives but should work- I'm not confident that it will fit the case though!

Well.. I went ahead and bought it as it was really cheap compared to getting one from amigakit.com.  I don't mind that much if it will take up two drive bays, even though that will look kind of tacky.  How do I tell if my motherboard is the rev that needs a hack? and if so what hack?

Well I wont do the hack if it's needed.. can i just hook up the drive when i get it without fear of damaging my board?  and if it doesn't work just blow it off, and if it does, be happy it does?

Chances are the drive will work right away. If your board does need the mod you will just see strange behaviour, probably the drive will not show or show as faulty...
