People will buy the OS3 version now in hopes of getting to pay for a new upgraded version later? That sounds like a strange deal to me. How many sales does Mr. Nolan require in order to bring out the OS4 and MorphOS versions of Photogenics? Are such numbers feasible given the current small user base, a fraction of which will already have the program and see no need to buy another?
It's a devillish catch-22, I agree, but somehow I don't expect this sort of naive advertising (buy!buy!buy!) to work. Here's another suggestion: as I recall the Amizilla booty is now written with nearly 5 digits. Why don't you ask permission of the very generous contributors to transfer part of that amount to the support of programs like that of Mr. Nolan and others? Those programs have a proven Amiga code base and thus should be much easier to port to OS4 or MorphOS. In other words, you get more bang for the buck :-). And if no permission is given, well, you can at least say you've tried.
