Simple mail quirk
« on: November 24, 2004, 11:02:24 PM »
Since getting my peg on line, I tried to use simple mail again.

With my old settings intact, I can download mail no problem but, when
I try to send, I get a message telling me 'sevice not ready'.

Has anyone ever come across this before?

It gets weirder. Tonight I was trying to downloada mail with a large attachment (40 meg) and the Peg crashed inthe middle of it.
After rebooting it now tells me it can't download mail.

Doesn't YAM work?
Sorry for my ignorance, but do you get the same problems with YAM too?

I have no Pegasos though, just curious what YAM would do. :-D

Hmm - just tried YAM. Similar result, except minus any error message.
The only reason I know the mail has not sent is it stays in the
'outgoing' folder.

I'll have to contact Vispa (my ISP) to check if my outgoing mail
setting of 'smtp.vispa.com' is correct. (Just did and it is - bugger).

Oh well, stumped again.
