Anyone in Glasgow (UK) area?
« on: November 16, 2004, 03:06:30 PM »
amiga dead. i am having trouble getting back my 4GB worth of amiga files, as i accidentally destroyed the RDB on my drive.

if anyone has a working A1200 and can help me run RDB recovery program (so i can use the drive with winuae) i would be eternally grateful.

also, i will be selling my 040/ppc board, so it may be worth it for you!

I have a working A1200T. Don't know anything about RDB recovery but you're welcome to pop round a have a muck about with it. I'm about 15 mins. walk from Central Station.

I'm not from Glasgow. I live about 20 miles away and don't know the place at all, and I have no transport. Anyway my Amiga is in a huge maxi tower and barely works anymore. Sorry. I'm glad Wilse could help you, though.

Im from the sodom and gomorra across the pond...
I would be more then willing to help you, only option would be to send it through the mail, that might be a little too much.
However if no one else can help, let me know!
Also, let me know when you're selling your ppc card, very interested!

But ehrm, quitting Amiga all together? Maybe an option to pick up a bare one on Ebay?

not quitting. but the only games i had which needed an accelerator were breathless, nemacIV, quake. can run them on winuae no probs.

if i can offload some jpgs and mods etc to the pc drive, i will have a working amiga with more than 4k space after defragged!

thanks for the very generous offer wilse. i if i cant work it out, i will be in touch!
