I wouldn't mistrust them just because of vapor-ware.  However, I wouldn't buy a Mediator hoping for the SharkPPC.

Even upstanding hardware developers like Individual Computers are guilty of continued hyping of vapor-ware products.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

If it is the MAI Micro-server, then I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.  Why put an A1 priced card into an Amiga that could die any day (the classic boxes aren't getting younger)?  Enjoy the old systems as much as you can.  If you want a next-gen box, get a next-gen box but don't try to mash the two together, I say.

I said the same thing. Thats why I got rid of my A3000 with the Mediator in it and went for a Pegasos. It was the best thing I ever did. Its the ultimate PPC machine and blows away any the CSPPC I had in the 3000 by a landslide.

Just a thought-- how can Elbox be trusted with anything given the apparent vapor-ware status of the Shark? I mean, should I really give them my money for a mediator and tower if I decide to one day?

Well jdryyz, its like I said back when we first talked. I wouldny wast my money on a Mediator and a tower now that you have a Pegasos II. You still have it right? When MorphOS 1.5 comes out soon you will have no need for a fancy A3000. just keep it as it is for classic apps and games that wont run on your Pegasos.

I wouldn't mind paying for a Shark even if it was expensive: my aim is to not have a third computer and I don't want to dump my A4kT. So I would pay for it.

But many of you have voiced my same concerns: a Mediator is attractive to me if it is going to support a Shark, but if the Shark doesn't exist I am not so keen.

Hmmm do wo need to send "get-well-wishes" to tjaoz ?

Red, this time we would both be on the same side of the bet.....
boring.....
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else
