Trouble with MacUAE
« on: February 15, 2003, 07:21:33 PM »
I have had this programme for 2 months now and I still haven't got a clue how to use it. It didn't realy come with a manual, just a rubbish readme file.

I'm begining to wonder if stuffit knows how to unstuff adf files. Maybe the settings are wrong? All of the demos I have downloaded seem to be converted in part into text files with what looks like code in them. Not that I know what code looks like.:huh:
AKA ED-209 on IRC...

Hmmm.. don't try to unstuff the .adf file...
The .adf files are to be used with uae, and mounted as df0: - df3:
Adf = Amiga Disk File

Hi Mike,

Amiga Emulation on the mac is lightyears behind Windows unfortunatley. :-(

Firstly which OS do you use? If you are using OS X then make sure you are using MaxUAE rather than MacUAE.  MaxUAE is OS X native and is still (slowly) being developed.

Also do you have a kick.rom file? Without this you aren't likely to get very far.

If you are using OS X and you have a ROM file (or a means of transfering data from a real amiga to your Mac) then drop me a PM and I'll guide you through it via email :-)
