Yet another fan question
«

I was thinking about replacing some old noisy fans in A4000D and maybe in A2000, with new ones called Speeze 8cm (ball bearing).
Can it be done without some major (fitting) trouble?
I'm a bit unsure about replacing something that actually works fine. :nervous:

Just make sure that the new fans' voltage settings and fittings match those of the old ones.
Don't forget your ESD-bracelet!

It should not be a problem. Just get a 2 wire 80x80x25 fan. You'll probably need to splice wires, but it's not a big deal.
I'd recommend the Panaflow fans, as they are the quietest fans I've heard. Although, I haven't seen a Speeze yet.

After replacing, it works great! I've cut that third yellow line (rpm?), and the chances of it connecting to something are smaller than being hit by meteorite :-D
Interestingly new fan has much lower "consumption": 0,09A instead of old 0,15A.
