According to once source, they are 1Mb x 8 bit RAM, though the "256" in the part number can suggest 256k. I don't have a data sheet handy.
Either way, if they are 20 pin devices, it's likely they'll work in the fast mem sockets of the A3000 (U850D-U857D). It will accept either 256k or 1Mb devices. Most 20 pin DIP memory uses the same pinouts. And 70ns access time is more than fast enough.
Make sure you don't mix them with other memory sizes or ZIP memory.
As for A3000 chip mem, these are 256k devices. You might have trouble with the HY534256 there.
