Whoa, thanks for all the tips guys!

Anyway,

I've pretty much decided to go for the PCMCIA option, because I am definitely not going to fiddle around with *glue* on my 'priceless Amiga'  :-D

The 620/630 seem nice, but I don't really need that kind of power, just a small ammount of Fastram to play some of the more 'demanding' games/apps better.

And as an added bonus, I could also just install my favorite one or two on one of those cards permanently!

Or until the batteries die...  :lol:

Spuit elf kwam ook nog modder spuiten in de richting van een leverancier, die wat dichter bij huis zit...

@Roondar

Instead of using TUDE, use WHDLoad instead. It is a FANTASTIC app!

modder = mud?

Sorry, eavesdropping on your conversation. What's the relevance of mud? Or is it just idiom...

Alsof $70 (ex. kosten om 't hierheen te halen) voor 512k goedkoop is... 't Is nou eenmaal geen populair product, he  :-(

Je kan natuurlijk ook bij de antiquair twee 30pin SIMMetjes halen, die je met korte stukjes montagedraad aan 't geheugenslot soldeert. Bijna gratischhhh  :-D

K-Disk : that pcmcia solution you gave ...

Vikant offers one of the world’s first PCMCIA (PC)
Static RAM memory cards with a fully rechargeable
back-up battery, manufactured by the leader in PC
card production, Centennial Technologies.
SRAM is a reprogrammable, non-volatile memory
device, that makes SRAM memory cards an ideal solution
for backing up and   transferring files between notebook,
palmtop, PDA and desktop computers.
This rechargeable Card contains a charging circuit which ensures that the Card is maintained at it’s peak condition during use and that it retains it’s charge while dormant.

Compatibility.

You are making a right choice buying our SRAM PCMCIA Recharge Card for use in such devices as HP Palmtops, HP Omnibook, Casio Zoomer, GridPADS, Apple Newton, Toshiba Dinapad, AT&T EO 440/880, NEC Autograph, Fujitsu Poquet series, Sharp, Tandy, Dauphin, Epson, Norand 6000 series and other brand Palmtops, PDAs, Pen-based or notebook computers.

$ 69.99 or 57 Euro for a 512 K (not Mb) card
$143.99 or 119 Euro for a 4MB SRAM CARD at the other link that elal1862 gave ...

Not very cheap indeed  :-o

Modder = mud. The above sentence would roughly translate to something like "Spout eleven came along to spout mud in the direction of a supplier". (In this case mud isn't related to FUD or so, it's not bad nor is it good, it's ment to point in the direction of the supplier)

Spout Eleven is a reference to somebody offering their help after it is unneeded / trying to put out a fire that's been out for hours.

About the glue again:

I recommend a small amount of Pratleys flexibond (think that's what its called. Its a two-tube mixer and is flexible. You can peel it off and it won't damage your chips. No heat gun needed. They usually use it to glue running shoe soles when they come apart at the front.
