Demos using a GFX mode 2

Hi everyone,

it seems I can't post a reply so there will be a new thread.

You can find a lot of GFXCard compatible demos
at http://www.gfxbase.com ...

Thanks. I never went there. I thought Aminet was the only place to go, but it seems it's not what it used to be :-((

darkcoder, be sure that I fully understand what is fun in coding demos. I didn't ask for anim effects, I just wanted the same creativity (still in realtime) but in GFX mode. And remember it will be the only way to have demos on the A1 (and Peg). I want demos on my A1 !!! :-)

If you think coding on GFX cards is too easy, and it's nicer to show people what you can do on AGA, ask me. I'm sure I can find some things to do that can blow Amigans socks off.
Do you remember some demos where a face was coming out of a polygon. Who will do it (in realtime) and making it speak ??? Come on coders, I'm waiting ! ;-)

elwood: the maiin thread works fine , go check it.

anyway it seems that you have been away for a long time, as the polygon faces that u are talking about was allready done in 98 by EX oxyrone people on both c64 and amiga (mekka 98)
the demo got like 4,5,6th place , i love it but sadly goodlooking demos won over it.

anyway making a polygon face (i guess u mean a full HEAD who TALKS and such) wouldnt impress me at all,
as this is just a matter of how low on polygons u go and adding a few frames for lips/mouth.

anyway scene demos was all about design and style (for me anyway)

dooing such in realtime, sure why not? ..but still how many polygons do u need before it looks good? is 1000 ok?  or maybe 1 million? or 50 million? , i think u need to sit back and think abit
because there is NO standards on the a1 for how and what.

anyway a 20.000 polygon face (polygons) in 50fps realtime would really impress me on a PPC amiga but then again thats because I KNOW what can and cant be done.

check the main thread and have fun-.. AnD READ "KRONOS's post"
Whats up with all the hate!
