Trading Hardware for an A1200

Hi, it's been a few years since I've had an Amiga, and I'm really missing my old A1200. I've got a room full of hardware (Some PC, some just regular hardware.) that I'm willing to trade if anyone has an A1200 system for trade. (The more goodies the better.)

I tried to post this on AmiBench, but couldn't find my listing.

(For those about to be offended that I'm trading PC hardware, If it's any consolation, I'm a 10 year Amiga user, and was the President of my local Amiga Users group for years and feel really dirty about having PC hardware anyway heheh.)

Wanted: A1200 System. Offering hardware trades. Any reasonable combination of the following:

- 18 Gb IBM Ultrastar SCSI HD, 10,000rpm (Model DDYS-T18350) w/ Adaptec 29160N Fast Ultra SCSI PCI card.

- Matrox G45+ Dual Head 32 Meg AGP Video card. (Runs two monitors off one card, or a TV out on one of the connectors with a cable sold by Matrox on their web site.)

- Procom Technologies Model CDT7-12x SCSI CD Tower. (7 12x CD-ROMS all setup and ready to plug in and go.

-Gateway ALR 8300 Server (Contains the following)
*2 32x IDE CD-ROMS

*7 18.2Gig Hot Swappable Seagate Barracuda 7,200rpm SCSI HD's. Model ST118273LC (6 drives setup in a raid array and 1 spare.) It's setup as one 109.2 Gig RAID 5 Volume. SUPER FAST!

*2 Hot Swappable redundant power supplies. (If one dies, the system continues to run off the second!) Plus 2 spares!

*2x Pentium 2 XEON 450mhz CPUs. (Missing one voltage regulator module, so it only runs on one CPU atm, but the other is there and will run if you get the module off Ebay or whatever.)

*512 Megs of PC100 (Or was it PC133, I can't remember) RAM. 4 SIMM slots, so it's easy to pack a buncha ram in there cheap.

*Windows 2000 Advanced Server w/CD and Original Box!

*Adaptec Ultra SCSI Raid Controller. (Ack, can't remember the name, but the SCSI controller on it has 64 Megs of ram on it as well, and 3 headers.)

*Comes with Keyboard, Wheel Mouse and a 17" Monitor as well.

Why not sell your server on ebay..seems like a very good setup!

I'd think $150-$200 at the most should get a A1200 HD on ebay.

Yeah, I might wind up doing that. Actually, the server thing was a last minute idea. I keep playing with it, and toying with the idea of using it for my own web server, but I can't find anything worth hosting lol. (I'm a hopeless packrat...)

Oh, I also have an almost brand new HP Laserjet 4000TN Printer (Only 2 pages printed off it.) I could trade if anyone needs one of those.

If I could minimize my transactions by skipping Ebay, then cool, if not, then I'll move this hardware on there then be back heh. (Not finding any great 1200 setups on Ebay atm anyway.)

Don't be intimidated by the hardware here. If you have a "Modest"  or even pretty basic A1200 setup, it's likely more than I need. Make an offer please.

So I was laying in bed this morning thinking about putting my PC/Printer hardware on Ebay and I remembered why I'd like to avoid that route.

If I sold something on Ebay for $500.00+ then my wife would say "That's great! Now we can redo the back porch!"

But if I traded off computer hardware for computer hardware, then there's no apparent value to it.
