FTP client
« on: August 10, 2004, 11:22:56 AM »
I need a good FTP client for Amiga. Which one would you recommend?
I've got 4Mb FAST RAM on A1200 with '030 accel. card, 3COM PCMCIA LAN and plan to use it with Miami and that FTP.
Better sorry than worry.

I can agree to that, AmiTradeCenter is good and free. :-)

There is also AmiFTP, mFTP-II, but they're not free as far as i know. Although both are old and development support stopped for them long time ago. :-(

Check this link for ATC! :-D

I wouldn't use ATC on something that has just 4mb of RAM.

ATC is quite a memory hog.

AmiFTP, not doubt. Especially with that little memory (Note that it still requires Reaction aka ClassAct)

I think that's AmFTP actually. I believe it's an independent development from mFTP by VaporWare.

AmFtp is good. mFTP is full of bugs. AmiTradeCenter is tops.

Cheers,

I agree with ATC.  It's a great program!  It's the only one I found that supports recursive directory downloading (correct me if I'm wrong, please.  I need a 000 compatible client).

If I could get a proper version of GG running on my machine I would rather use ncftp.

Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(
