In October-November last year, Eyetech made an annoucement that A1XE got into mass-production, and that some minor but nice changes had been done..like removing the ARM-slot, including audio codecs and bringing the audio sockets on the usual positions on the ATX I/O knockout..That's far as i know, for sure..

02/January/2003 AmigaOne XE systems experience further delay.
We are assured by Eyetech that all issues with the release of the XE boards are resolved, and as a result, we have an improved board! Eyetech has only stated that will be shipping the XE boards by the end of January 2003. This means with building & testing of the equipment, we expect to be able to ship AmigaOne systems by approximately February 17, 2003. All customers with AmigaOne orders that receive AmigaOne systems prior to AmigaOS4 being released will automatically be put on the AmigaOne Developers Mailinglist.

Know we know the reason for the delay, and it's actually a very good one! :-D  Thank you Eric!!!

Wandering off-topic, but...

(Off the extremeamiga site) "Best when NOT viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer!"

Or "Best when NOT viewed by anyone with an opinion of good taste in web design" or "we used frames to enhance the user experience of this website"... my god... for the good of humanity, whoever designed the site should not pick up the pen in the name of website design ever again...

Sorry about that, but i was just so happy to read why the A1XE is delayed, and this is certainly because of great changes:-) Great work, Eyetech!!! :-)  :-D

Maybe they (Eyetech) should update their website once in a while instead of their customers (or soon to be customers)  having to find out info about a product they want to order or have ordered  on Amiga news sites and forums.

I agree, but it could be that Eyetech was just too busying completing the production of the XE, so they only sent mail to the dealers...I guess that's the answer...Don't worry...:-)

That's a VERY good point.

Excatly, that IS a good point! Hopefully, they may update it soon...Sending mail to the dealers is simply not enough...Why do you think we have been confused about the delays? We can thank Eric for giving the link from Extreme Amiga about this delay...Very important news....
