Bluetooth  :) I haven’t tried wired but I’m sure that will work too as it just presents as a standard X input controller afaicr

(I’d be surprised if any Atari standard DB9 joystick didn’t work)
To confirm this, this cheap "Atari sticks" works

I have this BT gamepad with keyboard that is working, both as a jopystick and a keyboard.
The one I have is unbranded, baught years ago from ebay or ali.
It looks identical to this one at amazon named Luckymall YXSB-100

Just want to post and update on these Atari Clone DB9 joystick I mentioned earlier. I was quite impressed with them as they felt very compact and had a satisfying clicking sound which gave me a feeling that there was some decent quality microswicthes inside, like the original.
But the other day there was another not so nice sound that apeared while using it, and after this it got much looser at one side and not so good to use. I opened it and found there is some thin plastic "leaf springs" on the bottom of the handle that is used to engage the swicthes, and one of these was cracked. And it turns out there are no microswicthes inside either, just some metal that bends down and clicks when pressed together.
I managed to repair it though, by 3d printing an enforcement ring which I superglued to the springs, and also made a thin spacer plate to compensate for that the enforcement got the springs a bit to close to the switches.
Now it works quite well again, and I hope my repair will last :)

I have two Mega Drive themed controllers from Retrobit, their official names are:

Mega Drive 6 button Arcade Pad with USB
and
Mega Drive 8 button Arcade Pad with USB

Both are wired controllers with USB connection.

I tried them in the A600GS, and they work perfectly, in exactly the same way the controller that comes with the GS does.

Both controllers appear on the Controller Preferences screen as "SWITCH CO.,LTD. USB Gamepad" (see attached picture)
Buttons A&B work as buttons 1&2 on the Amiga
The Mode button brings up the on screen keyboard
And the Start button brings up the F12 menu, in exactly the way the GS controller's start button does.

(The two extra shoulder buttons on the 8 button pad don't offer any extra functionality over the 6 button pad on the GS)

These two pads are a perfect alternative to the official A600GS controller.

Both pads come in both Mega Drive and US Genesis themes and different colours.

Pictures of the 6 button pad in both Mega Drive and Genesis themes attached
(I have the Clear Blue Megadrive themed one, as in 2nd attached picture below).

Retrobit official listings: https://retro-bit.com/sega-genesis-6-button-arcade-pad-with-usb-clear-blue.html
8 Button: https://retro-bit.com/sega-genesis-8-button-arcade-pad-with-usb-clear-blue.html
The controllers are also available on Ebay and Amazon in both Mega Drive and Genesis themes (prices vary).

I also tried an original 6 button Mega Drive controller in the DB9 port, it works with A&B buttons as Amiga buttons 1&2.

The Gamesir Nova Lite gamepad works well in wired mode and also using the supplied USB receiver.

I have also managed to pair it with bluetooth and working in Nintendo Switch and Android connection modes (no luck with DS4 mode).
