add floppy on A2000 ?
« on: April 13, 2008, 04:05:13 PM »
please add a diskette drive “Sony MP-F17W” inside to my Amiga 2000. My first is Chinon Bfr-354

the position in the beginning jumperless on Bfr-354 is:
XXX
xOO

and the position jumperless “Sony MP-F17W” Amiga position
OXXOO
OXXXX

can you help me to find the good position with two work disk drives, for functions in “DF0 and DF1” as well as the position of the reverser of the ribbon wire.

thank you. sayasupacrew!

have a look here:

You'd need a proper floppy disk cable with a twist. Do not use any type you seem to find, it has to be an Amiga specific one, like this:
https://amigakit.amiga.store/a2000-a4000-dual-floppy-drive-cable-60cm-length-p-647.html
It is far too long, but you can try and get one from another dealer instead.
