cd images
« on: March 23, 2004, 04:30:42 AM »
recently I saw on Back2roots, that they have alot of cd rom images. The Iso versions are easy to work with, I managed to get one done in no time at all. They also have que/bin versions which I must say, baffle me.  I asked at the web site how to use that sort of file, and they said use Nero. I have nero. And even the version he suggested, But I still don't know what to do. I've checked out the help topics, and all the menu options, and I am giving up.

However, a good friend of mine told me that if anyone can help, you guys could. I need help. :-?

Hmm...  IIRC, you need a semi-modern version of Nero.  4.0 or newer, I think.

When you open Nero, it brings up a CD compilation thingie.  Close it.  Go to the file menu, and pick "Burn image".  Change the requestor from NRG files to All Files, and choose your .CUE file.  Click through the rest of the requestors to burn the image to disk.  Done.

NOTE: The CUE file should be in the same directory as the bin, and have the same name.  In other words, you should have two files, like:
c:\dir\example.cue
c:\dir\example.bin

Just shortly after posting this message, I found the answer. I did an update on nero, and now it has what it needs to burn that kind of image. thanks
