found a monitor that natively displays 15 kilohertz

I picked up a monitor/tv for $15 at my local thrift store because it sported many inputs: HDMI, composite, component, RF, VGA. I tested it with my Amiga 500 and it supports 15 kilohertz ntsc through the VGA input. Need to do more testing as all I've had the opportunity to try is the insert disc animation. I will report on how it deals with interlace mode once I have the opportunity to test it with workbench.
It is the Toshiba 20hlk86 model. Made around 2006. My test setup was an Amiga 500 connected to the PC video import of the using a 23 pin to 15 pin passive converter.
See attached picture.

The microwave stainless steel aesthetic makes it look pretty cool. Good find!

Here's the list I always use

I'm surprised your Toshiba is not listed there. Nice looking gear

Yes, that's the list I always use, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this monitor works with 15Khz mode.
The monitor is also available in black - same model number, just without the "K".

After some further testing I can confirm that this monitor does not handle interlaced modes. It reports out of range. However it does handle all 15 khz standard modes very well.

Yes it has built-in speakers. And since it has composite input as well you can always switch over to that input for the interlaced screen modes and view them there. Not as sharp, but not awful.

I found a TV which works with my A1200 (PAL) through SCART : Philips 22PFL3405H12.
it has built in speakers, HDMI, VGA, SCART, composite and the picture is decent, more than those cheap SCART-to-hdmi boxes !
