Scandy 1200 seems to scandouble superhires mode too...
« on: March 15, 2004, 08:56:19 PM »
This would be the first one I've seen with this, if it turns out as it seems...

Here
Look in the bottom for Scandy1200.
It says it supports super-highres too.
Can someone confirm if this support does not ditch every second pixel like some other SD/FF's do?

Also, I read on other place that this was a FF too in the A1200 version but I got the impression the guy was confusing SD function with FF.

Can someone with the card confirm?

Cheers

You will find similar notes for other cards there, hell even my
funky DeInterLace (1989) is claimed to be SuperHighRes-capable ....

Should be more likely on a SD than on a FF, and afaik there was
only one (superexpensive) FF for the A4000 that had full AGA-support.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Almost every scandoubler will display a superhighres picture. But it will leave out every second pixel making it totally unreadable.

There was a FlickerFixer for the Amiga4000 called "FlickerFixer II" that could dicplay SuperHires showing all the pixels. It even doubled the frequency of 31khz modes, forcing the user to buy a monitor capable of showing 62khz :-)

Ah, cool ...but I have an A1200.
I like using some AGA progs like Brilliance2.0 but the problem is that it's really hard to find a decent monitor that accepts 15khz.
