Wimodem 232 errors when transferring files

Just received my Wimodem 232 and have been using it with my 1200 to visit bulletin boards.  Am having a problem with file transfers, both uploads and downloads.
I start getting errors and eventually the transfer fails with too many errors.  Anyone else run into this problem?

I don't have one of these, but my guess would be flow control issues or insufficient buffering.
With this device can you change and try different baud rates to see if that has an effect?

I would also go with the Baudrate option... try a slower rate and see if the errors still exist

Yes, I have tried different baud rates.  Still getting the errors.

I would contact developer Jim Drew for support, he says stock A1200 can flawlessly do 115200 baud.

I read through the use manual and in the "Advanced Configuration" section of the manual, it mentions having to solder jumpers between some pads to enable hardware flow control.

One other thing that just occurred to me is that the reliability of the connection could depend on which Amiga you are using. I seem to remember struggling to get high baud rates with the A1000 & A2000. You might find that you need to use some other serial device. I remember using one called baud bandit that worked well. Not sure but might be on Aminet or others.
