Vampire and IDE44 connection.
« on: October 17, 2017, 09:58:26 PM »
Hi to All,
I am building my A500 Vampire! :)
I have connected a Gotek drive and it's ok!
And the Vampire... but all the connections are (obviously) internal and this is not good.
Ok... I have bought extension cables for the MicroSD (MicroSD to SD) and for the HDMI!!! :)
The idea is to put the HDMI output connector on the right back side and the SD output connector below the Gotek drive.
I also bought a 3 position IDE44 cable to use a CF card and a DVD.
But I would like to have the CF externally accessible!!!
And the idea is to put the CF below the Gotek near the SD, and the DVD on the left side.
The problem is related to the IDE44 cable.
I have bought a 2 position cable to be connected to the previous one with a gender changer, so that I can reach the right side.
But with the IDE44 extension cable and the CF plugged in, the Amiga simply hangs and does not start (with or without the DVD connected).
Since the IDE44 has also power in it, I am not willing to make too much tests.

Can somebody help?

Thank you
