Secondary Hard Drive
« on: February 11, 2017, 12:35:46 PM »
I am slowly getting my 4000 up and running.  Absolutely fantastic machine!

Situation.  I am looking to add a second IDE hard drive to the channel that has my CF card attached to.  CF with 3.1 works flawlessly.  HDTools allowed me to partition et al the second drive just fine.  Once complete, all partitions mount.  However after reboot, it does not show up.

IDEFix97 does not show it under SCSI but does under 'Show All Dev Types'.  What's the magic?

Thank you in advance.

How does it show the status of the CF drive? Is it "Changed" even though you just added a new drive? When adding/removing drives from the system, it may need saving of the settings of the old drive too.

Not seeing a SCSI file in Devs, could that be it?  although CF works.
