AMIGA 2000 (Lo-tech 8-bit IDE Adapter) for IDE Hard Drive [PROJECT 2] *NEED HELP*

This is a new thread related to a Amiga 2000 Build Project.

I am trying to restore an RLL ALOK Ocaton Drive hooked up to a Western Digital ISA controller.   The controller is plugged into the Amiga PC side ISA slot and there is a Working 8088 Bridgeboard installed in the Amiga.

The Drive is functional but corrupted.

I purchased a Lo-Tech 8bit-ISA/IDE adapter to get a IDE Hard drive on the Amiga side so that I can copy the Image off the RLL drive.

But it is not working in the Amiga 2000.

GOOD newS I got the Lo-Tech ISA/IDE Adapter working.  As per the spec it's designed for COMPACT FLASH CARDS.  It doesn't work with the Modern IDE drives.  

I found an Older IDE-2 Driver 250MB and the Adpter picked it up right away.
It worked in my 486 using DOS 6.2 and booted.
I could run FDISK and partition it.

The bad news, is I moved the exact same setup over to my Amiga on the PC Bridgeboard (ISA slot) side, and it didn't work.  Fdisk said "no fixed disks"  Adisk said "Read Error".

I've contacted the designer but my hopes are low.  Designer replied to ask for more details.

I think the BIOS on the 8088 Bridgeboard may be picky or have some ISA standard in-compatibilities.  Just like the IDE incompatibility with Modern IDE drives.

I haven't given up and hope designer can provide a ROM image to make it work.  

Maybe even a flash card adapter which I order will work, but I doubt it since Flash card is on IDE side (which is working for me).  It's the ISA side that the Bridgeboard doesn't pick up.

The IO port on that card are fixed to 0x300-0x31f (on some IDE XT cards it's configurable). You might have a conflict, have you tried it with just the bridgeboard and ide & no other cards?

8bit isa card should be not plug and play and it may be generate conflicts of IRQs between cards accessing same IRQ. That's IMHO situation with Bridgeboard that has control over mouse, keyboard, serial, parallel and graphics (and related IRQ). Take a look at your card and check if exists pin port switches that may be set in order to change its native IRQ.
