now the hunt will be to track down an PPC Accelerator and a CF=IDE adapter/ 3.1 KS Replacement ROM for whats likely going to be its stock 1.1 or 1.2
Amigakit and other European dealers can supply 3.1 ROMs if you need them and they can also supply Workbench 3.1 pre-installed on a 4GB CF card. Amigakit also supply the adapters and cables and they did do a do a kit with a backplate that gives access to the CF slot without have to open the case. Handy for transferring files between different systems.
Workbench 3.1

The page for the backplate.

If you want some extra speed and some RAM in the near term it may be worth considering the ACA 1221ec. It the lowest cost accelerator for the A1200 and Amigakit are expecting stock on the 11th. It is also available from other dealers or direct from Individual Computers, who manufacture the cards.
If that doesn't seem enough then there's the ACA 1233n which has more ram and is currently available in 40 and 55Mhz versions depending on what the dealer has in stock.
I'd recommend getting either card and enjoying until the A1200 version of the Vampire comes out.
There a north American dealer recently set up, he's more focused on Amiga NG but it may be worth contacting him and asking if he plans to stock some of the hardware mentioned above.
http://amigaonthelake.com/contact-us/It may also be worth considering getting the A1200's capacitors replaced before they leak, go pop, or whatever.
If you can do the work yourself then kits can be obtained or if not Acill seems to be the guy to ask in the US. The recap service is $58 with $14 for return shipping. You can contact him here or via the details on his website.
https://squareup.com/store/paul-r-rezendesLastly I would bother hunting down a PPC board. For 3.1 the Vampire will be faster and may be available before you can find a BPPC.
If your interested in 4.1 then it would be better to track down dedicated hardware like the Sam440 or 460. For the price of a BPPC and a suitable RTG setup you could probably buy a complete Sam440 or 460 system and have enough left money for an ACA 1221 or 1233 and some other bits and pieces to put in the A1200.
