Looking for: ACA1233 or other card
« on: June 01, 2016, 09:08:13 PM »
I am looking for an ACA1233 turbocard for my Amiga 1200 or some other turbocard.

I've found a Blizzard turbocard on Ebay, but the seller asks a lot for it!

I mainly use my Amiga's for playing games. Which card  would be the best choice for this?

Have you seen this Blizzard 1230:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/222130536672?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

I do not think you will find a cheaper one.

Thanks. Starting bid is 199 euros.

Is the ACA 1233 from Individual Computers still available?

Not new.  Try ebay or Amibay.

Indeed. Just out of curiosity: what price would you expect for a decent accelerator?

"Wanting everything for free" = common Amiga user syndrome.

Personally I paid $800 USD for the most recent accelerator I bought, and still feel like I got a good deal.  Unless you're lucky like that guy who tripped over the stack of A4000T's in the alley a few years ago, this is not a cheap hobby!  :p

Yes, but only in 55MHz form at the moment (very expensive but fastest 030 currently available):

https://icomp.de/shop-icomp/en/shop.html#filter=*

The ACA1233 card at 40MHz is as fast as a Blizzard 1230 at 50MHz. Both are good buys.

The ACA1221 is a good buy too if you just want a WHDLoad machine (and much cheaper), but alas, it's out of stock also.

There's also this Amiga shop in Spain:

I know that they do not come cheap. Seen prices for about 300 euros for one.
