have a scsi2sd board but...
« on: April 14, 2016, 10:23:13 PM »
wanting to put a 68 pin faster ultra wide scsi drive attached to my Cyberstorm MKIII instead of this brand new scsi2sd board I bought this past winter as i understand the r/w speeds are much slower than a real ultra wide scsi drive (& also it's 50 pin not 68 lol).

anyone have a 68pin ultra wide scsi drive and cable with terminator interested for a trade for the scsi2sd board?

What size are you looking for?  I have several 9 gig and 18 gig 80 pin drives with converters.

You might be interested in an ACard SCSI-IDE adapter. They are available for UW-SCSI and can be used with any drive up to 2 TB, including SATA drives using a SATA-IDE adapter. I've used many in Amigas and Macs up to 160 MB/sec and with 2 TB drives. They work great with SSDs, too.

I have a couple of those as well.  And I run 120 SATA SSD with a converter to my A3000T's SCSI controller.  It's super quick as well.  Only issue is the price.  I don't think I have seen one for less than 150ish.  Anyway if your interested in an 18 gig'r with the converter and cable then I will swap if you pay the shipping on the drive.  Since I do have so many of these drives I'll replace it if it fails within 90 days.  They are Compaq Drives from my ProLiant ml 530 Server.  Pop me a PM if interested.

I have a ton of UW SCSI Seagate Cheetah drives. I dont need another adaptor but I can send you one or two if you pay the shipping and are in the US. I believe they are 18GB drives.

You are very welcome. I am glad I was able to help out! I'd much rather see it get used instead of sitting in my parts box like it was. Enjoy the cable too! It fits very nice in an A4000D. Since its a rounded one it will also help with cooling and not look like a rat took up residence in your case!
